Jr NTR Contributes Rs 1 Crore to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Flood Relief Efforts

South Indian superstar Jr NTR has made a generous contribution of Rs 1 crore to aid the flood relief efforts in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with Rs 50 lakh allocated to each state's Chief Minister's Relief Fund. The recent floods, triggered by relentless heavy rains, have wreaked havoc across the Telugu states, leading to significant property damage and displacing thousands of residents.

Jr NTR expressed his solidarity with the flood-affected communities on his social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter). In his heartfelt message, he conveyed deep concern for the people impacted by the natural disaster and offered his prayers for their swift recovery. He also emphasized the importance of supporting the government’s relief measures during this challenging time.

The actor’s statement, translated from Telugu, reads, "The recent floods in the two Telugu states due to heavy rains have deeply affected me. I pray for the quick recovery of the Telugu people from this calamity. As a gesture of support, I am donating Rs 50 lakhs each to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to assist with the flood relief efforts being undertaken by the governments of both states."

Adding to the relief contributions, the producers of Jr NTR’s upcoming film Kalki 2898 AD also donated Rs 25 lakhs to the relief fund, further supporting the ongoing efforts to assist those affected by the floods.

According to reports from a prominent news outlet, the floods have claimed 19 lives and forced the evacuation of over 17,000 people, highlighting the severity of the situation in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The donations from Jr NTR and others are expected to provide much-needed assistance to those struggling in the aftermath of this natural disaster.
