Plot

RK/Rkay is a unique blend of comedy and drama that centers on RK (played by Rajat Kapoor), a filmmaker who finds himself caught in an absurd predicament. RK has just completed his latest film, a thriller starring Mahboob (also played by Kapoor), the film's lead character. However, things take a surreal turn when, during post-production, Mahboob mysteriously disappears from the film reels, leaving the cast and crew baffled. Soon after, RK and his team discover that Mahboob has somehow escaped into the real world. Mahboob, now an independent entity, is naive, charming, and utterly lost in this unfamiliar world. RK must confront the bizarre reality of his character coming to life and decides to help Mahboob adjust to the real world, even as the situation spirals into comedic chaos. The film explores themes of identity, creativity, and the fine line between fiction and reality, as RK grapples with the consequences of his creation taking on a life of its own.
