Nikamma

Plot

Nikamma is an action-comedy that follows Adi (played by Abhimanyu Dassani), a carefree young man who lives an easy-going life with little ambition. Known for his laziness and tendency to avoid responsibility, Adi's life is shaken up when he is sent to live with his strict sister-in-law, Avni (played by Shilpa Shetty), a disciplined and determined woman who works as an RTO officer. Avni is everything Adi resents—responsible, hardworking, and highly principled—creating immediate tension between them. When a local gangster threatens Avni and her city operations, Adi is forced to step up and take responsibility for the first time. Initially reluctant, he finds himself drawn into a series of chaotic and action-packed situations, using his wit, street smarts, and newfound sense of courage to protect Avni and the people around him. Alongside Avni and his love interest, Natasha (played by Shirley Setia), Adi’s journey transforms him from a “nikamma” to a hero, confronting both his inner weaknesses and external challenges. Despite its attempts to blend action, comedy, and family drama, Nikamma received poor reviews for its predictable plot and underwhelming execution. Though the film aimed to deliver a story of growth and responsibility, it struggled to leave a memorable impact on audiences.
