Plot

Mrs. follows the journey of a young, spirited woman (Sanya Malhotra), a trained dancer and passionate dance teacher, whose life takes an unexpected turn after her arranged marriage to a seemingly progressive husband (Nishant Dahiya). Moving into her new home, she soon finds herself trapped in the monotonous cycle of domestic chores, bound by the unspoken expectations of her traditional household led by her conservative father-in-law (Kanwaljit Singh). As days turn into weeks, the oppressive routines—cooking, cleaning, and catering to the family's every need—begin to stifle her identity, silencing the vibrant artist within. The very act of preparing meals becomes a metaphor for the emotional and physical labor that women are often burdened with, unnoticed and unappreciated. Struggling to balance societal expectations with her own desires, she gradually reclaims her voice, using dance as both an act of rebellion and self-expression. Through silent defiance and small acts of courage, she challenges the deeply rooted patriarchal norms dictating her life.
