Featuring a mind blowing ensemble of Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani, "Kalki 2898 AD" hit the cinema halls on June 27 and word has it, the movie is ruling the theatres across the world even now. The epic science fiction movie has been directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. The movie which was released in Hindi and Telugu, keeps the audience gripped even though it lasts for 3 long hours.

Plot : Bhairava, a bounty hunter, pursues Sumathi with his AI supercar, aiming to claim her bounty to enter the "Complex". Ashwatthama, through his gem, learns Sumathi’s unborn child is Kalki. Despite Bhairava’s pursuit, Ashwatthama subdues him, and they reach Shambhala, where Kalki’s presence revives the tree of life. Bhairava infiltrates Shambhala using deception, leading to a confrontation with Ashwatthama. As Shambhala's defenses fall to the Raiders, Bhairava, wielding the powerful Vijaya Dhanush, defends Sumathi and kills Manas. Yaskin, learning of Manas's death, transforms into a superhuman, seizing Gandiva, and vows to capture Sumathi and her child.

Review : The movie does justice to fans of periodical dramas who, through "Kalki 2898 AD" got a chance to witness a marvellous film after a long time. The direction justifies the film's notion of being a periodical, as, on watching it, the viewer is immediately transferred to a world of dynasties and royalty. Boasting 3D viewing, the film is fantastic. The actors prove their acting skills as they defy the odds and deliver performances that are expected of them. The length of the movie, however, is a drawback for fans who do not enjoy sitting in theatres for a long stretch. But, on the other hand, audiences who stayed the entire 3-hour stretch, enjoyed the marvel which proves that the film is worth the watch.
