Plot

Doctor G follows the story of Uday Gupta (played by Ayushmann Khurrana), a medical student who aspires to become an orthopaedic surgeon. However, due to a lack of seats in the department, he is forced to enroll in the gynaecology program. This unexpected turn of events leads Uday to face numerous challenges as he tries to fit into a field that he is not passionate about. Uday's new life in the gynaecology department is filled with comedic situations and emotional struggles, especially as he contends with his female peers, including the confident and supportive Dr. Fatima (Rakul Preet Singh). His discomfort with women's health issues, coupled with his male perspective, creates a series of awkward and funny moments. To complicate matters further, Uday is burdened by societal expectations and the pressure of fulfilling his family's dreams. As Uday navigates through his internal conflicts, professional dilemmas, and self-doubt, he gradually starts to understand the importance of the profession and the significant impact it has on women's lives. Doctor G explores themes of gender sensitivity, medical career choices, and the emotional journey of a young man who is forced to adapt to unexpected situations in both his personal and professional life.
