Sahibzadi Zohra Begum Mumtaz-ullah Khan, known as Zohra Sehgal, was born on April 27, 1912, in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. She hailed from an aristocratic Muslim family and grew up with a passion for dance and acting. Zohra began her career as a dancer with Uday Shankar in 1935 and later transitioned into acting. She married Kameshwar Sehgal, a Hindu, on August 14, 1942; the couple had two children, Pavan and Kiran. After her husband's death in 1959, Zohra moved to Delhi and then to London, where she worked in various roles before returning to India. She was known for her vibrant personality and her contributions to both Indian and international cinema. Zohra Sehgal passed away on July 10, 2014, at the age of 102 due to cardiac arrest caused by pneumonia.
