Zeenat Aman

Zeenat Aman, born Zeenat Khan on November 19, 1951, in Bombay (now Mumbai), India, is a prominent Indian actress and model. She is the daughter of Amanullah Khan, a Pathan Muslim screenwriter, and Vardhini Scindia Scharwächter, a Maharashtrian Hindu Brahmin. Aman's parents divorced when she was young, and she lost her father at the age of 13. She completed her schooling in Panchgani and later attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Zeenat gained fame after winning the Femina Miss India and the Miss Asia Pacific International pageants in 1970. She made her film debut the same year and achieved significant success with her role in Dev Anand's "Haré Rama Haré Krishna" (1971), which earned her several awards. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, she became known for her bold performances and modern roles, breaking stereotypes of traditional Indian women in cinema. Zeenat married actor Sanjay Khan in 1978 but divorced within a year. She later married Mazhar Khan in 1985, with whom she had two sons, Azaan and Zahaan. Their marriage faced challenges, leading to a bitter divorce, but they maintained a relationship until his death in 1998. Currently, she resides in Mumbai with her sons.
