Yogi Babu was born on 22 July 1985 in Arani, Tamil Nadu, India. He is married to Manju Bhargavi since 5 February 2020.
Yogi Babu is an Indian actor and comedian who primarily appears in Tamil films. He is a three-time Ananda Vikatan Cinema Award winner for his performances in Aandavan Kattalai (2016), Kolamavu Kokila (2018), and Pariyerum Perumal (2018). Babu has also received three SIIMA Awards.
As a child, Babu travelled extensively due to his father's work in the Indian Army, studying in Jammu in the early 1990s. He began his career as an assistant director in the comedy television series Lollu Sabha, where he also wrote scenes for two years. Babu made his feature film debut in the 2009 movie Yogi, where he played an aspiring actor.
Over the years, Babu has appeared in numerous films, often in comedic roles, and has gradually transitioned to more substantial supporting and lead roles. Some of his notable films include Paiyaa, Kalakalappu, Maan Karate, Yaamirukka Bayamey, Kaaka Muttai, Kirumi, and Gurkha.
