Vikram Gokhale was an esteemed Indian actor, director, and writer, born on November 14, 1945, in Pune, Maharashtra. He hailed from a prominent artistic family; his father, Chandrakant Gokhale, was a well-known Marathi theatre and film actor. Vikram began his career in the 1960s with Marathi theatre and later gained recognition in Hindi films and television. He was married to Vrushali Gokhale since 1975, and they had two daughters, Aasavari and Neha. Gokhale's contributions to the arts were recognized with numerous accolades, including the National Film Award for Best Actor for his role in the Marathi film Anumati (2013) and the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2011. He passed away on November 26, 2022, at the age of 77 due to multiple organ failure.
