Vijayta Pandit, born on August 25, 1967, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, is an Indian actress and playback singer. She hails from a distinguished musical family; her father, Pratap Narain Pandit, was a classical vocalist, and her uncle is the renowned Pandit Jasraj. Her siblings include actress and singer Sulakshana Pandit and music directors Jatin and Lalit Pandit. Vijayta was initially married to director Sameer Malkan; the marriage ended in divorce. She later married music composer Aadesh Shrivastava, with whom she had two sons, Avitesh and Anivesh. Aadesh passed away in 2015.
