Vekeana Dhillon

Vekeana Dhillon was born in New Delhi, India, and later moved to Toronto, Canada, where she was raised in Alberta. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia. Vekeana is the daughter of renowned lyricist Harcharan Dhillon and retired Environmental Health Officer Dyal Singh Dhillon. She is married to Puneet Sira, a noted director and producer, since 2010. Vekeana has worked closely with her brother, Vikram Dhillon, who is also involved in the film industry.

Vekeana Dhillon's career spans various roles including screenwriter, series creator, playwright, television presenter, radio presenter, and actress. She gained recognition for her series Uncovidable, which is based on her humorous experiences during the COVID-19 lockdown. This series premiered on Audible in both English and Hindi. Additionally, she created the animated superhero series Super V, which became the highest-rated animation show in India upon its release. Her notable works also include The Great Punjabi Luv Shuv Story for Alt Balaji and the musical play Balle Balle.
