Vasundhara Das was born on October 27, 1977, in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. She is a versatile Indian playback singer and actress known for her contributions to both music and film. Das hails from a Hebbar Iyengar family and was raised in a musically inclined environment, receiving her first lessons in Hindustani classical music from her grandmother. She completed her education at Mount Carmel College in Bangalore, where she graduated with a degree in economics, statistics, and mathematics. Vasundhara married Roberto Narain, a drummer and percussionist, in 2012. She is fluent in several languages, including Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, English, Malayalam, Hindi, and Spanish. Her career began with playback singing before she transitioned into acting, making her debut alongside Kamal Haasan in the film "Hey Ram" (1999).
