Tinnu Anand, born Virender Raj Anand on October 12, 1945, in Peshawar, Pakistan, is a prominent Indian actor, director, writer, and producer known for his contributions to Hindi cinema as well as some Telugu and Tamil films. He is the son of renowned film writer Inder Raj Anand and the brother of producer Bittu Anand. Tinnu completed his schooling at Mayo College in India. Initially discouraged by his father from entering the film industry, he eventually pursued his passion by studying under Satyajit Ray. Tinnu is married to Shahnaz Vahanvaty, the daughter of veteran actor Agha. They have maintained a private life away from the public eye.
