Tahir Raj Bhasin was born on April 21, 1987, in Delhi, India, into a multicultural family with a Punjabi father and a Kashmiri-Maharashtrian mother. He is the eldest of two siblings and grew up in an Indian Defence Force family, moving frequently due to his father's service. Bhasin began his acting journey at the age of 13 and pursued formal training at the Barry John Acting School in New Delhi. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Hindu College, University of Delhi, and a master's degree in media from the University of Melbourne, Australia. Before fully committing to acting, he worked in a national news production company and participated in various theater workshops.
