Swara Bhasker, born on April 9, 1988, in Delhi, India, is an acclaimed Indian actress and political activist known for her work in Hindi cinema. She hails from a diverse family; her father, C. Uday Bhaskar, is a retired Commodore in the Indian Navy of Telugu descent, while her mother, Ira Bhaskar, is a professor of cinema studies with Bihari roots. Swara completed her schooling at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya and pursued an undergraduate degree in English from Miranda House, followed by a master's in sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She began her acting career in theatre before transitioning to films.
