Swara Bhasker, born on April 9, 1988, in Delhi, India, is an acclaimed Indian actress and political activist known for her work in Hindi cinema. She hails from a diverse family; her father, C. Uday Bhaskar, is a retired Commodore in the Indian Navy of Telugu descent, while her mother, Ira Bhaskar, is a professor of cinema studies with Bihari roots. Swara completed her schooling at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya and pursued an undergraduate degree in English from Miranda House, followed by a master's in sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She began her acting career in theatre before transitioning to films. Swara gained recognition for her role as Payal in the hit film "Tanu Weds Manu" (2011) and received critical acclaim for her performance in "Raanjhanaa" (2013). Over the years, she has won several awards, including two Screen Awards and multiple Filmfare nominations. Swara is married to Fahad Ahmad, and they have a daughter named Raabiyaa.
