Suhasini Mulay, born on November 20, 1950, in Patna, India, is a prominent Indian actress known for her work in Assamese, Bollywood, and Marathi cinema, as well as television. She grew up in a Marathi-speaking family and was influenced by her mother, Vijaya Mulay, a noted documentary filmmaker and film historian. Suhasini began her acting career with the film "Bhuvan Shome" in 1969, which marked her Bollywood debut. Over the years, she has appeared in numerous films including "Lagaan" (2001), "Dil Chahta Hai" (2001), "Jodhaa Akbar" (2008), and "Mohenjo Daro" (2016). Her performances have earned her critical acclaim, resulting in five National Film Awards throughout her career.
