Sooraj Pancholi was born on November 9, 1990, in Mumbai, India, to actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab. He has a sister named Sana Pancholi and comes from a family deeply rooted in the film industry. Sooraj began his career as an assistant director in the film "Ek Tha Tiger" (2012) before making his acting debut in the romantic action film "Hero" (2015), co-starring Athiya Shetty. His performance earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He is known for his dedication to fitness and has appeared in various films, including "Satellite Shankar" (2019), where he played an Indian soldier, and "Time to Dance" (2021). Sooraj was previously in a relationship with actress Jiah Khan, who tragically passed away in 2013. Following her death, he faced legal challenges, being accused of abetting her suicide but was acquitted by a CBI Special Court in April 2023 due to lack of evidence.
