Sonu Walia is an Indian former actress, model, and beauty pageant titleholder, born on February 19, 1964, in New Delhi. Her birth name is Sanjeet Kaur Walia. She gained prominence after winning the Femina Miss India Universe title in 1985 and subsequently represented India at the Miss Universe pageant that same year. Walia holds a degree in psychology and has studied journalism. She is best known for her role as Nandini in the film "Khoon Bhari Maang" (1988), a performance that earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. In her personal life, Sonu Walia was married to Surya Pratap Singh, an NRI hotelier and film producer based in the US, who passed away in 2009.
