Shruti Haasan was born on January 28, 1986, in Chennai, India, to renowned actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur. She has a younger sister, Akshara Haasan, who is also in the film industry. Shruti began her career as a playback singer at the age of six and made her acting debut as a child artist in her father's film "Hey Ram" (2000). She later gained recognition as a lead actress with her role in the Hindi film "Luck" (2009). Over the years, she has established herself in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi cinema, earning accolades such as the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South for her performances in "Anaganaga O Dheerudu" and "7aum Arivu" (both released in 2011).
