Born in Chalakudy, Kerala, he pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree from St. Thomas College, Thrissur. Chacko began his career in the film industry as an assistant director under Kamal for nearly a decade before transitioning to acting. His first appearance on screen was in the comedy-drama film "Nammal" (2002), but he made his official acting debut with "Gaddama" (2011). 

Chacko gained widespread recognition for his role in the fantasy comedy film "Ithihasa" (2014), which became one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films that year. He has since showcased his versatility by portraying various characters, including notable roles in films like "Kammatti Paadam" (2016) and "Ishq" (2019), where he received critical acclaim for his performance as Alwin.
