Shefali Shah was born on May 22, 1973, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She is an acclaimed Indian actress known for her work in film, television, and theatre, primarily in independent Hindi cinema. Shah began her career on the Gujarati stage before transitioning to television in 1993. She gained significant recognition for her role in the popular series "Hasratein" (1996-1999) and later appeared in notable films such as "Satya" (1998), where her performance garnered critical acclaim. Throughout her career, she has received several prestigious awards, including the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for "The Last Lear" (2007) and a Filmfare Critics Award for "Dil Dhadakne Do" (2015). In recent years, her roles in Netflix projects like "Delhi Crime" (2019) and "Darlings" (2022) have further solidified her status as a leading actress in the industry.
