Shanker Raman is an acclaimed Indian filmmaker and cinematographer known for his significant contributions to Indian cinema. He gained widespread recognition for directing and co-writing the neo-noir thriller "Gurgaon," which has been praised for its gripping narrative and visual style. A seasoned cinematographer, Shanker has collaborated with notable directors such as Anurag Kashyap and Navdeep Singh, contributing his expertise to films like "Mukkabaaz" and "Laal Kaptaan." His work on the feature film "Frozen" earned him accolades at the Asian Film Awards and the Durban International Film Festival, showcasing his talent in both writing and cinematography. Additionally, he co-produced and co-wrote "Harud," a film that won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Urdu. Shanker has also directed episodes of the dystopian series "Leila" for Netflix. Currently, he is in post-production for his upcoming feature film "Love Hostel," which is co-produced by Drishyam and Red Chillies.
