He comes from a farming family; his father, Roopnarayan Choudhary, and mother, Rampyari Choudhary, both worked in agriculture. Shaji has four brothers and one sister. He moved to Jaipur at the age of 12 and later pursued his education at St. Soldiers School and Rajasthan University.
