Sania Jhankar was born on March 5, 1986, in Pune, India. She developed a passion for filmmaking at a young age, starting her career as a child actor in the film "Lekroo, The Child," which was screened at the Mill Valley Film Festival. Sania pursued her education in film at New York University (NYU), where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film/TV with minors in producing and editing. She graduated with honors and has since worked with notable companies such as Focus Features and VH1-MTV. Sania has written and directed several acclaimed short films and documentaries, including "A Refugee" and "Justice Will be Served," which have received awards at various film festivals. Currently, she serves as a senior editor at USA Studios in New York and is also working on her first feature film, "Butterflies of Bill Baker." Sania is fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi, and has basic proficiency in French.
