Sai Tamhankar was born on June 25, 1986, in Sangli, Maharashtra, India. She is an accomplished Indian actress known for her work primarily in Marathi films and television, as well as in Hindi cinema. Tamhankar's journey into acting began during her college years when she participated in street plays and inter-college competitions, which ultimately led to her breakthrough role in the Marathi sitcom "Ya Gojirvanya Gharat." Besides acting, she was also a state-level Kabbadi player during her teenage years. Tamhankar is a commerce graduate from Chintaman College of Commerce in Sangli.
