Roja Selvamani

Roja Selvamani, born Sri Latha Reddy on November 17, 1972, in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, is a prominent Indian politician and former actress. She is the daughter of Nagaraja Reddy and Lalitha Reddy and has two brothers. Roja pursued her education at Padmavati Women's University in Tirupati, where she earned a Master's degree in Political Science. She initially gained fame in the film industry during the 1990s and 2000s, becoming a leading actress in Tamil and Telugu cinema. Roja married filmmaker R.K. Selvamani on August 21, 2002, and they have two children: a daughter named Anshumalika and a son named Krishna Lohith. Her political career began in 1999 when she joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). She later switched to the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and has served as the Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Youth Advancement in Andhra Pradesh since April 2022.
