Rita Bhaduri was born on November 4, 1955, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. She hailed from a middle-class Bengali family and was the daughter of actress Chandrima Bhaduri. Rita pursued acting at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, graduating in 1973 alongside contemporaries like Zarina Wahab. Throughout her life, she remained unmarried and dedicated herself to her acting career. Rita passed away on July 17, 2018, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, due to kidney-related ailments.
