Rio Kapadia was an Indian actor born in 1956. He became well-known for his roles in various Bollywood films and television series. Kapadia was particularly recognized for his performance as an Australian commentator in the 2007 film "Chak De! India" and as Shankaran in the 2001 movie "Dil Chahta Hai." His television career included notable appearances in series such as "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" and the historical epic "Mahabharat," where he portrayed King Subala. Outside of acting, he had a passion for pencil sketching, sharing his artwork on social media. Kapadia battled cancer starting in 2022 and passed away on September 14, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Maria, and their daughter, Farah Kapadia.
