Reena Roy

Reena Roy, born Saira Ali on January 7, 1957, in Mumbai, India, is a renowned Indian actress known for her significant contributions to Hindi cinema from the early 1970s to the mid-1980s. She was raised in a family with a Muslim father and a Hindu mother, who separated when she was young. Reena began her film career as a teenager with B.R. Ishara's "Zaroorat" (1972), gaining fame with subsequent hits like "Jaise Ko Taisa" (1973) and "Zakhmee" (1975). Her career peaked in the late 1970s with blockbuster films such as "Kalicharan" (1976) and "Nagin" (1976). Despite her success, she faced personal challenges, including a tumultuous marriage to Pakistani cricketer Mohsin Khan in 1983, which ended in divorce. They have one daughter, Jannat, also known as Sanam Khan. After a sabbatical from acting following her marriage, Reena returned to the film industry in the early 1990s but did not achieve the same level of success as before. In addition to acting, she has been involved in various ventures, including opening an acting school with her sister.
