He is married to Miheeka Bajaj since August 8, 2020. Rana hails from a prominent film family, being the son of producer D. Suresh Babu and grandson of legendary filmmaker D. Ramanaidu. His career took off with the film "Leader" in 2010, earning him a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.
