Gangasani Rami Reddy was born on January 1, 1959, in Valmikipuram, Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh, India. He was a prominent Indian actor known for his work in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam cinema. Reddy initially pursued a career in journalism, completing a Bachelor of Communication Journalism at Osmania University and working for the Munsif Daily newspaper. His foray into acting began unexpectedly when he was offered a role in the Telugu film "Ankusam" (1989), where he gained recognition for his portrayal of the character Spot Naga. Throughout his career, he became famous for his negative roles and unique dialogue delivery, particularly noted for the phrase "spot pedatha." Reddy's filmography includes over 250 films across various languages, showcasing his versatility as an actor. He was married and had three children. Rami Reddy passed away on April 14, 2011, in Secunderabad due to liver and kidney ailments at the age of 52.
