Rajshree Choudhury

Rajashree Choudhury, born Rajashree Chakrabarti on May 7, 1965, in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, is a renowned yoga therapist and advocate. She began practicing yoga at the age of four under the guidance of Dr. P. S. Das and Dr. Kushala Das at the Mahila Yoga Byayam Kendra. By the age of ten, she was training at Ghosh's College of Physical Education. Rajashree achieved significant success in competitive yoga, winning the National Yoga Championship in India from 1979 to 1983 and securing the first Bishnu Charan Ghosh Cup in 1982. In 1984, she married Bikram Choudhury, the founder of Bikram Yoga, and the couple relocated to Los Angeles, California. They have two children together. The couple divorced in 2016.
