Rajiv Kapoor was an Indian actor, director, and producer born on August 25, 1962, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He was the youngest son of the legendary filmmaker Raj Kapoor and grew up in a prominent film family alongside his brothers Randhir and Rishi Kapoor. Rajiv Kapoor made his film debut in 1983 with "Ek Jaan Hain Hum," where he played the role of Vikram Saxena. He gained significant recognition for his performance in "Ram Teri Ganga Maili" (1985), directed by his father, which became a major box office success. Throughout his career, he appeared in various films such as "Lover Boy," "Zimmedaar," and "Naag Nagin." In addition to acting, he ventured into directing with films like "Prem Granth" (1996) and produced several projects including "Henna" (1991) and "Aa Ab Laut Chalen" (1999). Despite his initial success, Rajiv's acting career waned in the late 1990s, leading him to focus more on production and direction. He married Aarti Sabharwal in 2001, but their marriage ended in divorce in 2003. Rajiv Kapoor passed away on February 9, 2021, at the age of 58 due to a cardiac arrest.
