Rajeshwari Sachdev was born on April 14, 1974, in Mumbai, India, to a Punjabi father and a Tamil mother. She completed her graduation from Guru Nanak Khalsa College in Mumbai. Sachdev began her career in theater with the Indian People's Theatre Association before transitioning to film. She gained recognition for her role in Shyam Benegal's film "Sardari Begum," which earned her the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1997. In addition to films, she co-hosted the popular musical show "Antakshari" on Zee TV from 1994 to 2001. Rajeshwari married actor Varun Badola on November 24, 2004, after meeting him on the set of "Antakshari." The couple has a son, born on May 10, 2010.
