Prosit Roy is a prominent Indian film director and producer who has made significant contributions to the Hindi film industry since his debut in 2008. Born and raised in Kolkata, he hails from a culturally rich Bengali family, which nurtured his artistic inclinations from a young age. Prosit graduated from the University of Calcutta, where he honed his storytelling skills. His career began as an assistant director on notable films such as "Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na" and "Delhi-6." 

 

His directorial debut came with the horror film "Pari" in 2018, which received acclaim for its unique approach to the genre. He gained widespread recognition for co-directing the Amazon Prime series "Paatal Lok," which won him the Filmfare OTT Award for Best Director in 2021. Prosit is also working on the upcoming biopic "Chakda 'Xpress," featuring Anushka Sharma. His dedication to crafting compelling narratives has established him as a key figure in contemporary Indian cinema.
