Preeti Jhangiani was born on August 18, 1980, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, into a Sindhi-speaking family. She completed her schooling at G.D. Somani Memorial School and attended Jai Hind College but did not graduate. Preeti began her career as a model, gaining recognition through a hit music video for Rajshri Productions. Her film debut came in 1999 with the Malayalam film "Mazhavillu," followed by successful Telugu films like "Thammudu" and "Narasimha Naidu." Her breakthrough in Bollywood occurred with the romantic drama "Mohabbatein" (2000), where she starred alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan, earning her the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year – Female. Preeti married actor Parvin Dabas on March 23, 2008, and they have two sons together. The couple co-founded Swen Entertainment Pvt Ltd and produced the award-winning film "Sahi Dhande, Galat Bande." They are also involved in the sports industry, launching India's first Armwrestling League, The Pro Panja League. Preeti is currently the President of the National Federation People's Armwrestling Federation India.
