Preeti Desai was born on September 29, 1984, in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. She is a British actress, model, and former Miss Great Britain, having made history as the first woman of Indian descent to win the title in 2006. Desai comes from a Gujarati family; her father is of Indian origin from Kenya, and her mother is from Uganda. She has a younger sister, Anjlee Desai, who is a singer and songwriter. Preeti attended several educational institutions including St Augustine's RC Primary School and Middlesbrough College. She began her career in modeling before transitioning to acting. Desai is currently not publicly known to be in a relationship and does not have a spouse.
