Pranitha Subhash was born on October 17, 1992, in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. She hails from a Kannadiga family; her father, Subash, is a physician, and her mother, Jayashri, is a gynecologist. Pranitha is the only child of her parents. She pursued her education in Bangalore and started her career in modeling before transitioning into films. Pranitha married Nitin Raju on May 30, 2021. The couple has one child together.
Pranitha made her acting debut in the Kannada film "Porki" in 2010, which was a remake of the Telugu blockbuster "Pokiri." Following this success, she appeared in several notable films across various South Indian languages, including Telugu and Tamil. Some of her prominent works include "Baava" (2010), "Attarintiki Daredi" (2013), and "Massu Engira Masilamani" (2015). Her role in "Attarintiki Daredi" received widespread acclaim and significantly boosted her popularity. In addition to her film career, Pranitha is also known for her philanthropic efforts, particularly in improving public education infrastructure in Karnataka. She completed an executive education program at Harvard Kennedy School in December 2020.
