Sarkar has received several accolades for her performances, including the Anandalok Award for Best Actress for her role in "Le Chakka" (2010) and the Kalakar Award for Best Actress for "Jomer Raja Dilo Bor" (2016). In addition to her acting career, she ventured into politics by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2021.
