Papa Rao Biyyala, also known as B.V.P Rao, is an accomplished Indian filmmaker and former member of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). His diverse career spans various fields, including sports administration and international governance. After serving as the Home Secretary of Assam and working with the United Nations in Kosovo, he transitioned into filmmaking. His directorial debut, "Music School," released in May 2023, highlights the pressures faced by students and promotes a family-friendly narrative. Rao's commitment to social issues is evident in his earlier work, including the award-winning documentary "Willing to Sacrifice," which focuses on environmental conservation. With a law degree from Osmania University and formal training in filmmaking from the New York Film Academy, Rao combines his administrative experience with creative storytelling, making significant contributions to both cinema and public service.
