Omkar Das Manikpuri

Omkar Das Manikpuri was born on August 5, 1970, in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India. He grew up in a village near Bhilai and faced significant challenges after his father's death, which led him to join a local folk-theatre troupe at a young age. He later became a member of Habib Tanvir's Naya Theatre company, where he honed his skills in acting and performing. Manikpuri made his film debut in 2010 with Aamir Khan's production "Peepli Live," where he played the lead role of Nathadas Manikpuri, earning critical acclaim for his performance. His career expanded with various roles in both Hindi and regional films, including notable performances in "Newton" (2017) and "Unda" (2019). He has also appeared in television series such as "Santoshi Maa." Manikpuri is married and lives with his family in Brindanagar, Bhilai.
