M. Nassar, born Muhammad Hanif on March 5, 1958, in Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu, is a prominent Indian actor, director, producer, dubbing artist, singer, and politician. He is married to Kameela Nassar and they have three children. Nassar is well-known for his significant contributions to the South Indian film industry, particularly in Tamil cinema. He currently serves as the president of the Nadigar Sangam, the South Indian Actors Association. His career began with a supporting role in K. Balachander's "Kalyana Agathigal" in 1985, but he gained widespread recognition for his performance as a police officer in Mani Ratnam's "Nayakan" (1987). Over the years, he has collaborated with esteemed filmmakers and actors, cementing his status as a versatile character actor.
