Antara Biswas, known professionally as Monalisa, was born on November 21, 1982, in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. She is an accomplished Indian actress primarily recognized for her work in Bhojpuri films and Hindi television. Monalisa pursued her education at Julien Day School in Kolkata and later graduated from Ashutosh College at the University of Calcutta with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sanskrit. Before entering the film industry, she worked as a Guest Relations Executive in various hotels and restaurants. Monalisa began her career in the entertainment industry by appearing in Oriya music videos and made her film debut in the 1997 Hindi movie "Jayate." She gained significant popularity in Bhojpuri cinema with films like "Adhikar" (2004) and "Tauba Tauba" (2004). Her notable television role includes portraying Mohana Rathod in the supernatural series "Nazar." In 2016, she participated in the reality show "Bigg Boss 10," where she married her long-time boyfriend Vikrant Singh Rajput on January 18, 2017. The couple also appeared together on the dance show "Nach Baliye" season 8.
