Mitu Bhowmick Lange is an Indian-Australian filmmaker and producer, renowned for her significant contributions to the global film industry. Born and raised in Delhi, India, she relocated to Melbourne, Australia, in 2002 following her marriage to Roy Lange, the son of former New Zealand Prime Minister David Lange. The couple has a daughter. Before moving to Australia, Mitu directed various television shows in Mumbai, spanning news, fashion, and entertainment sectors. In Australia, she founded Mind Blowing Films, a leading distribution company specializing in Indian cinema across Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. She also established the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne in 2010, an annual event celebrating Indian cinema and fostering cultural exchange.
