Meenakshi Sheshadri was born on November 16, 1963, in Sindri, Jharkhand, India, as Shashikala Seshadri. She gained fame after winning the Miss India contest in 1981 at the age of 17. Meenakshi made her Bollywood debut in the film Painter Babu (1983) and quickly rose to prominence with her role in Hero (1983). She is recognized as one of the leading actresses of her time, known for her performances in films like Damini (1993), Ghayal (1990), and Ghatak (1996). Meenakshi is married to Harish Mysore, an investment banker, and they have two children: a daughter named Kendra and a son named Sanjosh. The family currently resides in Texas, USA.
