Masumeh Makhija, also known as Masumi Makhija, was born on October 10, 1984, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She comes from a prominent Indian film family; her grandfather Parananand was a pioneering distributor, and her mother Jayshree and uncle Gul Anand are well-known producers. Makhija moved to India at the age of one and began her career as a child artist in commercials and television shows like "Thoda Hai Thoda Ki Zaroorat Hai" and "Banegi Apni Baat." She made her film debut in 2003 with "Chupke Se" and gained recognition for her role as Sameera in "Maqbool," directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. Over the years, she has appeared in various films, including "Saas Bahu Aur Sensex" and the German movie "Gate to Heaven." In addition to her film work, she has been featured in several television series. Masumeh Makhija is currently married to actor and filmmaker Aasif Sheikh.
