Manoj Joshi

Manoj Joshi is an acclaimed Indian actor known for his work in film, stage and television. He began his career in Marathi theatre and has also performed in Gujarati and Hindi theatre. Joshi has acted in over 70 films since 1998, often in comedic roles. He is the recipient of several awards including a National Film Award and the Padma Shri in 2018 for his contributions to the field of acting.

After graduating from Sir J. J. School of Arts, Joshi debuted in the 1999 film Sarfarosh alongside his brother. He is popularly known for playing Kachra Seth in Phir Hera Pheri (2006). Some of his other notable works include the TV series Chanakya, Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka, and Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat where he portrayed the title role. Joshi suffered a stroke while filming Devdas with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which left him bedridden for over a year.
