Laxmikant Berde was born on October 26, 1954, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He was a prominent Indian actor known for his work in Marathi and Hindi films, particularly celebrated for his energetic slapstick performances. Berde began his career in the late 1970s as an employee at the Mumbai Marathi Sahitya Sangh, where he was involved in stage productions. He gained fame with the Marathi play "Tur Tur" in the early 1980s. Berde was married to Priya Arun Berde, and they had two children together. He passed away on December 16, 2004, due to kidney failure at the age of 50. His legacy continues to influence the Marathi film industry, where he is remembered as one of its finest actors.
