Kushal Tandon was born on March 28, 1985, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. He hails from a prominent family; his grandfather, Lalji Tandon, was a noted politician. Kushal completed his schooling at Scindia School in Gwalior and graduated from Hans Raj College in New Delhi. He initially pursued a career in modeling, becoming the first runner-up in the Grasim Mr. India contest in 2005. His acting career began with the role of Virat Singh Vadhera in the popular television series Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai (2011-2013). He gained widespread fame after participating in Bigg Boss 7 in 2013, where his relationship with co-contestant Gauhar Khan captured public attention. Following this, he starred as Arjun Sharma in Beyhadh (2016-2017), which further solidified his status in the industry. As of 2024, Kushal is involved in various television and web series projects while also managing family business interests. He is currently in a relationship with actress Shivangi Joshi.
